A&E Audiology was founded in 200o by audiologist Dr. Kamal Elliot. "My goal was to be able to provide a full range of audiology and hearing aid services in the Lancaster area so that patients wouldn't have to travel to Hershey or Philadephia." Dr. Elliot initially rented a small office at the Oakcrest Building in Lititz. There was a need for quality audiology services in the Willow Street area, so when Dr. Elliot was approached by Hocke Optical she decided to open the Willow Street branch in 2002.
Soon the practice grew and Dr. Elliot hired Dr. Kimberly Kelly in 2003. When that office was bursting at the seams, Dr. Elliot moved to the current Lititz office location on Highlands Drive. The Willow Street office moved to its current building in 2007 and we moved into our new suite in December 2010. Dr. Elliot was the first Audiologist to join the staff at Lancaster General Hospital and the Heart of Lancaster. "I wanted to be able to provide sedated ABR services in Lancaster because parents of infants were having to drive at least an hour to get these services."
A&E Audiology and Hearing Aid Center, Inc. has grown to two full-time locations with four Doctors of Audiology, a Doctoral Extern and Hearing Aid Dispenser on staff. In addition, we have regularly scheduled hours at Brethren Village, Moravian Manor and Luther Acres.
